I describe myself as:
I live in Owensboro, alone with my two parrots who are hilarious! I am heavy set, but not sloppy, blue eyes, and usually blonde. lol I am tired of being alone, have no hangups about men in my past. Just that I haven't had a very happy marriage. I like to go on drives, eat out or in, share things together, bbq, play games and the internet. I also like playing pool although I'm rusty. lol I'm a laid back person, like to know ahead of time of any plans so I can be as sweet and beautiful as I can be for you! I am a touchy feely person, I like someone to show their affections for me in public, holding hands, etc. you get the idea. I'm also a one man woman, and expect a one woman man. I am very easy to get along with as long as you are a mild mannered man. One thing I don't like is arguing and fighting, that is just a waste of energy, tears your spirit down for that day, in fact, it ruins my whole day and hate to be yelled at if maybe I do something wrong in helping you do something as an example. I love romance, and it could be anything, pick me a wild flower and present it to me and that would make me so happy! Happy because you thought enough of me to do it. I also like to think of little things to do for my man. I'm also an animal lover. I think that is what God intended me to do on this earth, but I guess I got sidetracked.

Transplanted San Francisco Artist/Activist

i moved to berea, kentucky in september 2001, after spending most of the last 25 years in san francisco. it's a big change, but i'm settling in ... i think.
my favorite things about living here are gardening (vegetables & flowers), the peace & quiet, being close to the mountains, & being able to own my own home for the first time in my life.
the things that occasionally make me feel like moving are: hot & humid summers; few out homos to build community with; way too intensely christian ... although kinda progressive; & amazingly conservative political climate.
i like to travel & learn foreign lanuages. i'm teaching myself to be a gardner, & i enjoy diy projects around the house. i'm learning to play the piano & reconnecting w/the clarinet & flute.
after spending years as an activist & an educator/researcher, i'm trying to nurture my creative interests. learning to draw & paint.
i have four dogs & love animals of all sorts. i guess that's another thing i like about being here ... the dogs have a yard, & i have the crickets to put me to sleep at night & the birds to wake me in the morning.
